Tamil Nadu CM Edappadi K Palaniswami announced on Saturday that complete lockdown will be extended in Madurai city and adjoining areas till July 12. The area limits of Madurai's adjoining rural civic bodies of Paravai and Thiruparankundram Panchayats will also remain under lockdown till July 12. Meanwhile, lockdown restrictions will be eased in Chennai from July 6 onwards, said CM.
