Putting an end to all speculations, the Congress party announced its candidates from Rae Bareli and Amethi for the Lok Sabha elections. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to contest the Lok Sabha elections from Rae Bareli and the party fielded senior leader and Gandhi family loyalist Kishori Lal Sharma from Amethi.
