Puducherry Lieutenant Governor Dr Kiran Bedi was removed from the post and Telangana Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan was given the additional charge on Tuesday. Rashtrapati Bhavan said that Soundararajan will discharge Puducherry LG's duties till regular arrangements for the office are made. This comes days after CM Narayanasamy asked President Ram Nath Kovind to recall Bedi.
