As the clampdown in Jammu and Kashmir eased yesterday, the government promised that restrictions will gradually be relaxed further today. On Day 14, Kashmir seems to be limping back to normalcy. Even as stringent security arrangements remained in place, the authorities eased restrictions on the movement of people and restored landline phone services in some areas of Kashmir Valley yesterday. Classes will resume in 190 schools in Srinagar tomorrow as the district administration makes necessary arrangements to ensure safety and security of the students. Government offices will also start functioning normally from Monday.
