Hours after chairing a meeting at his residence on Friday to review the COVID-19 situation in the state, Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa was hospitalised in Bengaluru due to persistent fever, post which he tested positive for coronavirus.Yediyurappa was initially admitted to the Ramaiah Memorial Hospital in the state capital, and after his reports came in, he was moved to the Manipal hospital in the city. He has been down with fever for the past two days and had even tested himself for coronavirus a couple of days back, but his reports then had come negative.It is to be noted that he had tested positive for the virus in August 2020 too. Recently, he had also taken the first dose of the anti-COVID vaccine.
