Former JNU students' union leader Kanhaiya Kumar filed his nomination as Communist Party of India (CPI) candidate from Bihar's Begusarai constituency for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Kanhaiya thanked Jignesh Mevani, Gurmehar Kaur, Shehla Rashid and others for their support. Begusarai will go to polls on April 29 in the fourth phase of Lok Sabha elections. He is contesting against Union Minister Giriraj Singh. Lalu Prasad Yadav’s Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has fielded Tanveer Hassan from the same constituency.
