Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai on Saturday said schools in districts having less than 2% COVID-19 test positivity rate (TPR) will be reopened for Classes 9-12 from August 23. "It's mandatory for all parents and school staff to be vaccinated for entry into school premises," he said. However, if the positivity rate crosses 2%, schools will be shut for a week.
