The president of India has appointed Justice Vikram Nath, Judge of the Allahabad High Court as new Chief Justice of the Gujarat High Court with effect from the date he assumes charge of his office. Justice Nath obtained his law degree in 1986. Following his enrolment in 1987, he practiced in the Allahabad High Court. He was appointed an additional judge of the Allahabad High Court in 2004. He was made a permanent judge of the Allahabad High Court in 2006 where he is currently serving.
