Gujarat High Court’s sitting Judge G.R Udhwani passed away today due to coronavirus infection and related complications.This is Gujarat’s first case of death of a judge in covid19 pandemic. Born in 1961, Udhwani was 59 years old. He began law practice in 1987 and elevated as additional judge of High Court in 2012. Prior to that he was Registrar General in the High Court. Udhwani was among the three sitting judges who were tested positive last month. He was admitted to private run Sal hospital in the city.He was hospitalized since a week and was on vantilator support since Friday. Full court condolence meet shall be held, said Gujarat High Court Advocates’ Association.
