A newspaper journalist, identified as Sudip Datta Bhowmik, was reportedly killed inside the camp of Tripura State Rifles(TSR) 2nd battalion at RK Nagar in eastern part of Agartalaaround lunch hour on Tuesday. Superintendent of Police (SP) West Tripura Abhijeet Saptarshi said that the details of the incident have not yet been received from TSR authority. However, he was shifted to Agartala Government Medical College (AGMC) in critical condition.
