Former J&K CM Mehbooba Mufti accused a Baramulla district official of ordering workers from outside the state and central security personnel to be enrolled in the voters' list. The official responded stating "nothing like that" has happened and asked her for proof. Political parties in Kashmir have accused the Election Commission of trying to enrol non-locals into the voters' list.
