After India reported the first case of coronavirus from Kerala, China said it was paying close attention to the case and that it was going to jointly work with India to strengthen efforts to prevent and control the epidemic which originated in Wuhan, the capital of Hubei’s province. While Beijing was yet to approve India’s request to operate two aircraft to fly back Indian nationals, the Indian side was hoping evacuation will finally begin Friday evening.
