Uma Satya Sai Gadde, an Indian student, has died in Ohio's Cleveland, said the Indian Consulate in New York on Friday. It added that a police investigation into the death is underway, and it remains in touch with Gadde's family in India.
This is the latest in a string of incidents that have affected the Indian-origin community in the US. Since the beginning of 2024, there have been at least nine deaths of Indian and Indian-origin students in the US
