The Defence Ministry signed a contract with Bharat Dynamics Limited on March 19, 2021 to supply 4,960 MILAN-2T Anti-Tank Guided Missiles to the Indian Army for Rs 1,188 crores. The Milan-2T anti-Tank Guided Missiles are produced by Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) under license from a defence firm from France. Bharat Dynamics Limited is a Defence Public Sector Undertaking (DPSU). The procurement is expected to provide a major boost to the Indian Army's firepower. The induction of the missiles is planned to be completed in three years.
