Indian Army chief General Manoj Pande was conferred the honorary rank of "General of the Nepali Army" by Nepal's President Bidya Devi Bhandari on Monday. The practice follows the seven-decade-old tradition between India and Nepal where both countries confer the title of honorary General to each other's army chiefs. General Pande is currently on a five-day official visit to Nepal.
