India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja continued his stellar run with the bat as he broke Kapil Dev's record during his unbeaten 175-run knock against Sri Lanka on Day 2 of the first Test of the 2-match series in Mohali on Saturday. Notably, Jadeja remained unbeaten on a career-best 175 as India declared their first innings closed on 574 for eight against Sri Lanka. Jadeja crossed Kapil Dev, who had scored 163 against Sri Lanka in Kanpur in 1986 while batting at No.7, to hit the highest score by an Indian batter while batting at No.7 or below in Test cricket.
