The total number of Omicron cases in India has now mounted to 271 with Tamil Nadu reporting 33 fresh cases of this latest coronavirus variant on Thursday. As of now, Omicron cases in Tamil Nadu stand at 34. According to the data revealed earlier in the day, there were a total of 238 cases of Omicron coronavirus variant reported in India. With 33 more cases in Tamil Nadu, the tally has now reached 271. Maharashtra topping the list of states with the maximum detected cases of Omicron with 65 cases of the new variant. Delhi is second on the list with 64 reported cases. As many as 24 cases have been reported in Telangana, 21 in Rajasthan and 19 in Karnataka.
