India's coronavirus case count has crossed the 1 crore-mark on Saturday with the addition of 25,153 fresh cases and reached a total of 1,00,04,599. The Covid-19 death toll has also surged to 1,45,136. Of the over 1 crore cases, total numbers of recovered cases now stand at 95,50,712 while the number of active cases are at 3,08,751.The Ministry of Health has said, “India's Covid recoveries have witnessed a steep exponential rise - from 50,000 in May to over 95 lakh in December. Recoveries are more than 30 times the active cases (currently only 3.14% of total cases).”
