With daily recoveries continuing to outnumber the new Covid-19 cases for the 51st consecutive day, India's active caseload has dropped below 5 lakhs after 97 days, informed the Union health ministry on Saturday. The country, though, also witnessed 44,111 new cases in the last 24 hours. India's active caseload has declined by 14,104 in the last 24 hours. It currently stands at 4,95,533 which is the lowest after 97 days.A total of 57,477 patients have recovered, taking the country's tally of total recovered patients to 2,96,05,779. The recovery rate has gone over 97 per cent.Meanwhile, the total Covid-19 cases in the country have gone up to 3,05,02,362.The country has also witnessed 738 new deaths in the last 24 hours, increasing the total death count to 4,01,050.
