India’s coronavirus tally is likely to cross 43 lakh by the end of Tuesday after the country reported over 75,000 cases in the past 24 hours. Data on the health ministry’s website showed a single-day spike of of 75,809 new cases. The total number of cases registered so far in India stands at 42,80,422 after the fresh spike. Out of the total caseload, 33,23,950 people have been discharged after recovery. India currently has 8,83,697 active cases. The death toll from coronavirus has increased to 72,775 after 1,133 people died due to the infection in the past 24 hours. This is the second biggest single-day spike in death toll recorded in India.
