India logged 71,365 new coronavirus infections taking the country's total tally of COVID-19 cases to 4,24,10,976, while the active cases declined to 8,92,828, according to the Union Health Ministry data updated on Wednesday. The death toll climbed to 5,05,279 with 1,217 fresh fatalities, the data updated at 8 am stated. The number of people who have recuperated from the disease surged to 4,10,12,869
