India saw a single-day rise of 5,476 coronavirus infections, taking the country's total tally of cases to 4,29,62,953. ​The death toll climbed to 5,15,036 with 158 new fatalities reported in 24 hours, the data updated at 9 am stated. The active cases have declined to 59,442, now comprising 0.14 per cent of the total infections, while the country's Covid-19 recovery rate has further improved to 98.66% per cent, the health ministry said.
