India witnessed a substantial decrease in fresh Covid cases, reporting 2,38,018 new infections in the last 24 hours, and a total of 310 deaths, said the Union ministry of health and family welfare on Tuesday. With the addition of the new deaths, the toll has reached 4,86,761. Meanwhile, the active caseload has jumped to 17,36,628The recovery of 1,57,421 patients in the last 24 hours has increased the cumulative tally to 3,53,94,882. The Omicron infection tally has risen to 8,891 across the nation, an increase of 8.31 per cent from Monday.
