India registered 83,876 new cases in the last 24 hours, 22.0% lower than yesterday. This brings the total caseload to 4,22,72,014. The top five states which have registered maximum cases are Kerala, followed by Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Madhya Pradesh. As many as 895 deaths were reported in the country in the last 24 hours, increasing the total reported death count to 5,02,874. India's recovery rate now stands at 96.19%. A total of 1,99,054 patients recovered in the last 24 hours, which brings the total recoveries to 4,06,60,202 across the country.
