A day after the Ministry of Home Affair (MHA) announced extension of lockdown for the next 2 weeks, the total number of confirmed cases in India has surged past 37,000-mark. According to Health Ministry data, India reported 2,293 fresh cases and 71 deaths in the last 24 hours taking the overall Coronavirus count to 37,336. Total death toll across the country now stands at 1,218.
