According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, India has posted the highest ever single day recoveries of 56,383. The figure for total recoveries across the country now stands at 17 lakh. The recovery rate has crossed the 70% mark(70.77% today) and the case fatality rate has improved to 1.96%. Currently, active cases constitute only 27.27% of the total positive coronavirus cases in India.
