India has once again recorded a massive spike in coronavirus cases. A day after registering 75,000 new coronavirus cases, the country has recorded another 77,266 new cases in the past 24 hours. The total coronavirus cases in India now stand at 33,87,500. The death toll has also gone up by 1,057 and reached 61,529. Among the 33 lakh total coronavirus cases, the total number of active cases now stand at 7,42,023 while the number of recovered cases have gone up to 25,83,948. The total number of samples tested up to 27th August is 3,94,77,848 including 9,01,338 samples tested yesterday: Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR)
