Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) Director-General Balram Bhargava on Wednesday said India's approach towards controlling the spread of COVID-19 was different from western nations. "In terms of COVID-19 vaccines, we have rapidly developed these two vaccines which are very safe," he said. Bhargava added that the country ramped up its testing capacity in a short period of time.
