With 10,229 people testing positive for new Covid-19 on Sunday, India's total tally of its cases rose to 34,447,536 while the active cases came down to 1,34,096, the lowest in 523 days (17 months), according to the Union Health Ministry data updated on Monday. The death toll increased to 4,63,655 with 125 fatalities in last 24 hours, according to the data updated at 8 am.
The number of people who have recovered from the disease increased to 3,38,49,785, while the fatality rate stood at 1.35 per cent.
