With a spike of almost one lakh cases, India's coronavirus cases tally crossed the 51-lakh mark on Thursday. India also reported 1,132 deaths due to coronavirus. As of Thursday, the case tally stands at 51,18,254 including 10,09,976 active cases, 40,25,080 cured/discharged/migrated and 83,198 deaths, as per the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. Meanwhile, India's Covid-19 testing crossed the 6-crore mark on Thursday with over 11 lakh samples tested for coronavirus on Wednesday alone. The Ministry of Health also said that the active cases in India are only one-fifth of the total cases. It added that recoveries have now become four times more than the active cases. As per the official figures, the fatality rate in India is at 1.63 % while the recovery rate is at 78.53%.
