Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that India attracted over $20 billion foreign investment between April and July despite the COVID-19 pandemic. "We're reaching record highs in FDI every year," the PM added while addressing the US-India Business Council's 'India Ideas Summit'. He further said India's FDI inflows in 2019-20 rose by 20% to $74 billion from the previous year.
