The Ludhiana police said it has launched an initiative wherein women who are alone and cannot find vehicles to return home between 10 pm to 6 am will be dropped in police vehicles free of charge. It has also launched the ‘Shakti App’, wherein women can share their location with 10 contacts and the nearest PCR using an SOS feature.
