Lyricist Javed Akhtar has said, "If you want to bring a law banning burqa...I have no objection. But before the last phase of elections in Rajasthan, government should ban the practice of ghunghat." Akhtar's remarks come a day after Shiv Sena's mouthpiece Saamana urged PM Narendra Modi to ban the burqa for "national security" after serial blasts in Sri Lanka.
