The Human Resource Development Ministry has turned down the request of Delhi’s Jamia Millia Islamia University to honorary doctorate degree for Bollywood star Shahrukh Khan. As he had already received a similar degree from Maulana Azad National Urdu University.

University wanted to award an honorary doctorate to its star alumina, Shahrukh Khan for his extraordinary contribution to Indian cinema and culture.
