The BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in California's Chino Hill was defaced with anti-India graffiti, less than five months after a similar incident was reported at another Hindu temple in the US state. The External Affairs Ministry on Sunday condemned the "despicable act in the strongest terms".
In an official statement, the Ministry also called upon "local law enforcement authorities to take stringent action against those responsible for these acts, and also ensure adequate security to places of worship".
The official page of BAPS for the United States shared the details of the incident on the social media platform X, saying that they will "never let hate take root" and that peace and compassion shall prevail.
