After rains coupled with strong winds lashed Delhi on Monday, the temperature fell by 16°C in South Delhi's Safdarjung observatory and by 13°C at Palam observatory near the airport. "Between 4.20 pm and 5.40 pm, the temperature fell from 40°C to 25°C at Safdarjung," the India Meteorological Department said. Several trees were uprooted due to rains in parts of Delhi.
