This marks a significant moment in the state's political sphere, as the party has once again achieved an absolute majority, winning 48 out of the 90 assembly seats. The majority mark for the 90-member assembly is 46.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday thanked the people of Haryana after the BJP emerged victorious in the northern state for the third consecutive time, saying the people have voted his party to power for the third time in a row on the basis of development and good governance.
