A Mumbai court on Sunday sent MP Navneet Rana and her husband MLA Ravi Rana to judicial remand till May 6. The couple was arrested last evening for allegedly "creating enmity between different groups" over their threats to recite the Hanuman Chalisa outside Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray's home. The Holiday and Sunday court of Metropolitan Magistrate, Bandra rejected Mumbai Police's demand for custody. The Ranas' bail plea will be heard on April 29.
Sedition charge was added in the case against the MP-MLA couple as they challenged the state machinery.
