Hearing pleas challenging the Uttarakhand HC order for removal of encroachments from Railway property in Haldwani, the Supreme Court says 50,000 people can’t be uprooted overnight. It has stayed the HC order and said it will hear the matter again on February 7.
The top court also issues notices to Uttarakhand government and India Railways on the pleas challenging the high court’s decision.
