A court in Pakistan Punjab province's Gujranwala city on Wednesday held Mumbai terror attack mastermind and proscribed Jamat-ud-Dawa (JuD) chief Hafiz Saeed guilty in connection with a terrorism financing case. As per reports, Saeed's case has been shifted to Gujrat in Pakistan.
On July 24, the Counter-Terrorism Department was asked by Special Anti-Terrorism Court judge Syed Ali Imran to conclude its probe and present a formal challan in court on August 7, i.e. today.
Saeed, one of the most wanted terrorists in India, was arrested on July 17 in connection with a terrorism financing case. Following his arrest, Saeed was sent to prison on a seven-day judicial remand.
