Gujarat Vidhan Sabha on Wednesday passed unanimously the bill to hike salary and perks for the MLAs. Now that the MLAs of Gujarat will draw Rs. 1,16,316 as a monthly salary as against Rs. 70,727, which shows a hike of nearly Rs. 45,000 per month. Whereas the Ministers of the Gujarat Cabinet will draw Rs. 1,32,000 salary as against Rs. 87,000 earlier. The MLAs and Ministers would receive this hike with retrospective effect i.e. from 22 December, 2017.
