Gujarat Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama on Wednesday said that schools will be reopening from 23rd November in the state. On being asked on resuming of physical classes in schools and colleges in the Gujarat state, Minister in his statement said that "Classes for standard 9 to 12 will resume from 23rd November. Classes for final year college students will also resume from 23rd November". Earlier it was being presumed that state Government will surely allow schools to operate for Physical classes after Diwali festival.

SOP of Govt of India will be followed for the schools reopening in Gujarat state, said Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama.With this latest unfold, now Government and Private schools are allowed to reopen the schools for physical classes for Class 9, 10, 11 and 12 students. Similarly, state Government Colleges, Private Universities and Colleges are also allowed to resume physical classes for final year / semester students.

He said, odd even schedule has been suggested to schools. So for particular class, the schools can allot three days in a week. He said, students will not be subjected to compulsory presence. Written approval of parents or guardians will be required to join the classes. Each student wil be checked using thermal gun before joining class. Hand wash arrangement, social distancing will  need to be maintained. It further adds that parents will be encouraged to use personal transport to drop and pick up their children. The students using public transport will be provided precautionary guidelines by schools.
