A 45-year-old Covid-19 positive woman died at Jesar village in Gujarat's Bhavnagar, taking the death toll in the state to 6. This is the second death in Bhavnagar due to novel coronavirus.The woman belongs to Motakhutvada village in Jesar taluka. She is suspected of having contracted the illness from her relatives in Surat.

Six new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the state in the last 24 hours and the total number of cases is now 69. Of the new cases, five were found in Bhavnagar and one in Ahmedabad.

The new patient from Ahmedabad is a 36-year-old man who has a travel history to the US. The other four patients in Bhavnagar are all men, the official said, adding that all those cases are of local transmission. On the brighter side, so far, two patients have so far been cured and discharged in the state.

On Sunday, Gujarat reported its fifth death after a 47-year-old man succumbed to the infection.
