Gujarat's novel coronavirus cases surpassed 1,60,000-mark today, taking the state's Covid-19 count to 1,60,722. Gujarat reported 996 coronavirus cases on Monday. With the death of 8 more COVID-19 patients, the fatalities rose to 3,646, it said.The number of recovered cases rose to 1,42,799 with 1,147 more patients getting discharged today. The state now has 14,277 active cases, with the condition of 71 patients being critical, it said.The patient recovery rate in the state has reached 88.85 percent, it said. A total of 52,192 tests were conducted for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours at the rate of 802.95 tests per day per million population.
