Gujarat's tally of COVID-19 cases rose to 2,45,038 on Thursday with 780 more persons testing positive for the infection, the state health department said. With the death of 4 more patients, the fatalities increased to 4,306, it said. The state has in all recorded 9,839 active cases of which 61 are on ventilator support. At the same time, 916 patients were discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of recovered cases in the state to 2,30,893, the department said in a release here. The state's recovery rate stood at 94.23 percent, it said. As many as 54,672 tests were conducted for coronavirus in the state in a day at a rate of 841.11 tests per day per million population, the department said.
