Gujarat's tally of COVID-19 cases rose to 2,49,246 on Wednesday with 665 more persons testing positive for the infection, the state health department said. At the same time, 897 patients were discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of recovered cases in the state to 2,36,323, the department said in a release here. The state's recovery rate stood at 94.82 percent, it said. As many as 48,966 tests were conducted for coronavirus in the state in a day at a rate of 753.32 tests per day per million population, the department said.
