Likewise, with 20 deaths in 24 hours on Tuesday sent the death toll spiralling to 1,848. The state reported recovery of 422 patients, which took the number of discharged persons to 23,670. There are total 6,928 active cases in Gujarat. 71 of these patients are on ventilator support, it added. Cases and fatalities in Ahmedabad continue to rise. The city reported 197 cases and 9 deaths. Total 1,442 deaths, 20,913 cases and 15,968 recoveries have been recorded in Ahmedabad.
