Coronavirus tightened its grip on Gujarat as the state on  added 563 new positive cases, taking the state's tally to 27880. Likewise, with 21 deaths in 24 hours ending 5 pm on Monday sent the death toll spiralling to 1685. The state reported recovery of 560 patients, which took the number of discharged persons to 19,917. There are total 6,278 active cases in Gujarat. 67 of these patients are on ventilator support, it added. Cases and fatalities in Ahmedabad continue to rise. The city reported 314 cases and 16 deaths. Total 1,348 deaths, 19,151 cases and 14,013 recoveries have been recorded in Ahmedabad.
