Gujarat's tally of COVID-19 cases rose to 7,76,220 on Thursday with 4773 more persons testing positive for the infection, the state health department said. With the death of 64 more patients, the fatalities increased to 9,404, it said. The state has in all recorded 89,018 active cases of which 716 are on ventilator support. At the same time, 8308 patients were discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of recovered cases in the state to 6,77,798, the department said in a release here. 
The state's recovery rate stood at 87.32 percent, it said.
