Gujarat's tally of COVID-19 cases rose to 5,53,172 on Thursday with 14,327 more persons testing positive for the infection, the state health department said. With the death of 180 more patients, the fatalities increased to 7,010, it said. The state has in all recorded 1,37,794 active cases of which 572 are on ventilator support. At the same time, 9,544 patients were discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of recovered cases in the state to 4,08,368, the department said in a release here. According to the state health department, 96,33,415 persons have been given the first dose of vaccine and 22,89,426 persons have been given the second dose of vaccine. A total of 1,19,22,841 persons have been vaccinated so far. There has been no case of adverse reaction or side-effects of Covid-19 vaccine in the State so far. The state's recovery rate stood at 73.82 percent, it said.
